Haven't dropped you a note in awhile, though I haven't stopped reading, so I thought I'd just wish you a nice night and congratulate you on your artistic endeavours towards your CD player.
from SamanthaI think "Elephant" may just be the greatest thing to ever grace my ears...
from lizI'm giddy for you. Seriously. I only know Saunders through your previous entries, but I like him from them alone. I really want to take his class now... Anyway, yes. Your bravery gives hope to me (as the perpetually afraid of people girl). You go. See ya at dinner. We're having spagetti.
from LeahI fear I do not sign guestbooks enough...anyway: Prof is RIGHT, Keith was a LEGEND and you should read Dear Boy (a bio, don't know if that's the one he recommended). Also, you MUST go and buy The Who By Numbers, especially seeing as you love Pete (who is, of course, a genius). It's such a beautiful sad album...
from NessWhen I first read your last gbook message I didn't quite compute the meaning of it. I was like "yes, cover version..." then I realised the historical importance of that song, how they covered it while the Stones were being threatened with long jail sentences in order to keep their music on the airwaves. Oh the Who, how self sacrificing they were. :)
from lizHi there! Just dropping by to wish you happy random guestbook signing week. I LOVED BJ--the Edge of Reason. Bridget's an excellent heroine. Nice diary--I'm hooked. have a great week! ~Krissy =)
from KrissyYup. Everything's Eventual...I only made it through the first story last night, but I do love Stephen King. He's all cosy, like your favourite pair of socks...yet he's creepy as all hell...
from NessI think you should go for the plot now because you have like, six months to think of another one for Nanowrimo. I'm doing it again, too. The pressure and community were helpful.
from LeahMan, that end part is creepy! If you're on the second floor and the police man looks straight up at you...well, at least you're noticeable, I guess. I wonder if it was an accident. Maybe some idiot tossed a cigarette in on top of the couch. Then again, knowing the dorms, if could have been some truly stupid people who thought burning a couch would provide some sort of entertainment value.
from LeahYou know what that machine reminds me of? It reminds me of something that genius that Lord Vetinari keeps locked away. You know, the one that always comes up with these incredible inventions for the betterment of mankind, but doesn't realize the potential for human destruction they contain. It also reminds me of George Carlin and his ideas about graveyards and dead bodies: "If we're going to recycle, LET'S GET SERIOUS!" Heh. But yes, I am disturbed.
